Halotel is one of the fast-growing telecomunication company in Tanzania. Through their competitive prices for data and voice, they have been able to capture a majority of low and medium-income earners. To connect with it's customers, Halotel decided to use online advertising channels, so they gave us the job to create different online advertising campaigns that ran on Youtube and display Google display network.
How we helped
After close communication with the client, we suggested running the following campaigns, YouTube, Display, and social media campaigns. We had 3 campaigns (Zanzibar campaign, 4G campaign, and Unibang campaign). The main KPIs to keep track of were Click through rate, and Views rate.
This campaign was focused on reaching out to university students. By registering a university Simcard, students were able to get 1,500 Tsh every month. To reach out to the target audience we ran a display campaign that showed Ads on apps and websites visited by the target audience.
The 4G campaign was a campaign aimed to let the target audience know about Halotel fastest 4G internet service. This campaign ran on YouTube, targeting the whole of Tanzania.
Zanzibar campaign is a campaign that focused on giving Halotel Internet subscribers a 50% of airtime when they purchased a weekly or monthly bundle. The display campaign targeted the Zanzibar location.
After several monitoring and optimizing of the campaigns, we were able to deliver the following results to our client.
